Meet the Team

Selena is a passionate educator and life-long learner. A Pomona College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus on Spanish and Indigenous Studies, she knows the value and beauty of language and the written form, and as a higher education and nonprofit professional who works with 55 of the nation’s top colleges, she understands what colleges seek to learn about students through the college essay.

Selena has spent half a decade working with students across all backgrounds on every aspect of the college application, but the college essay remains her favorite, as it is the piece of the application where students have the most creative agency. She is excited to work with students to craft compelling, insightful, and authentic stories that illustrate growth, curiosity, and preparedness for the journey that lies ahead.

Selena is currently the Program Manager at Questbridge, an organization that helps students from underrepresented or financially disadvantaged backgrounds gain admission and full scholarships to some of the most selective colleges and universities.

To start, Selena will work with a select group of my Seniors.
