Selective College Admissions: How to Navigate the Process

In this video, I offer my tips and advice on how to navigate the competitive and sometimes confusing college admissions landscape (my brother is a YouTuber in Taiwan, so you’ll notice some Mandarin and subtitles in there). If there’s anything I can clarify in the video, please reach out to me! I’m happy to continue the conversation with you.

How Do I Show Colleges That I’m Interested in Attending?

When I worked at USC as an Admissions Officer, I recorded a short video talking about Demonstrated Interest and how best to show that in your application. Take a look at young Stanley!

What Advice Do You Have For International Students?

Here’s a short video I recorded for our Pomona Admissions Instagram account (under the Admissions Q&A Story Highlights) about the importance of reaching out to your regional Admissions Officer.

Stanley as an Admission Officer…

In this saturated market of independent college counseling, who can you actually trust? I realize that to you, I’m just some random person on the internet, claiming my credentials to be what they are in the hopes you’ll consider working with me. In order to ease some doubt, I’ve included some select photos of my time working at USC as an Admissions Officer (these were screenshotted directly from the official USC Admission Instagram page).

In addition, I have professional references and student/parent references available upon request should you require them.

Second/Third photo: can you spot (a much younger) me in the group photos?
